Local Cantina Brewery District is part of the Orange Umbrella Restaurants family, which got its start in Grandview, Ohio in 2012 with a big idea, a hardworking team, and a passion for genuine hospitality. What began as one location has grown to more than 10 restaurants across Ohio and Florida, all rooted in the same commitment to great food, great people, and a laid back atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

The History of 743 South High Street in Columbus’ Brewery District
Same Address. Different Era.
743 South High Street has seen a few eras… and a lot of foot traffic.
Back in the 1970s, South High Street was a working stretch of the Brewery District, shaped by industry, small businesses, and the neighborhoods that grew up around them. By 1996, this space had taken on a new life as an antique mall, filled with pieces of the past and stories waiting to be uncovered.
Not long after, it became a neighborhood bagel shop, serving up early mornings and regulars who knew exactly what they were ordering before they even hit the counter.
Today, it’s Local Cantina. Same address, new energy.
The breweries and antique finds have come and gone, then come back, but the spirit of the neighborhood is still very much here. These days, it just shows up as tacos, margaritas, and a room full of people who came to hang out and stayed a little longer than planned.
